    Account Administrator, Halifax, NS

    The Opportunity
    Archway Insurance is seeking a new Account Administrator for our Halifax location. Reporting to the General Manager, the Account Administrator is responsible for customer service to our personal and commercial clients both in person and on the phone, accurate computer entry including invoicing, data input and maintenance of client records. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Providing high-quality customer service to our clients via email, phone and in person
    • Processing of new business, renewals and endorsements for life, personal and commercial clients
    • Maintenance of customer records using a computer-based insurance software system
    • Various administrative duties including taking client payments, daily deposit, filing, scanning and file maintenance.
    • Completion of daily bank deposits and cash reconciliations

    Qualifications
    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

    • Proven commitment to providing superior customer service and satisfaction
    • Excellent communication and data entry skills along with a strong attention to detail
    • Experience with handling payments and preparing deposits
    • Preference will be given to candidates with previous administrative experience

    Administrative Assistant, Amherst, NS

    The Opportunity
    Archway Insurance is seeking an Administrative Assistant to work with our Head Office team located in Amherst, NS.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Greet and assist visitors to our Head Office
    • Preparing payments for customers and insurance companies
    • Completion of statement and account reconciliations
    • Preparing customer statements and making collection calls
    • Preparing deposits and coding receipts accurately
    • Maintain up-to-date filing system
    • Provide administrative support to management and staff
    • Other clerical and accounting duties as required

    Qualifications
    The successful applicant will preferably have experience in an administrative role, be a team player, and have a higher than average attention to detail. The successful candidate will also have a proven ability to manage and complete tasks within agreed timelines along with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaborative skills. Experience in the insurance industry and with The Agency Manager (TAM) would be an asset.

    Commercial Account Manager, Archway Insurance – Sydney

    The Opportunity
    Archway Insurance is seeking an experiencedCommercial Account Manager for its team in Sydney. To succeed in this position, you must have a solid background in commercial insurance and genuinely enjoy working with business people. You are a self-starter that works well on your own while contributing to a positive team environment. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Providing high-quality customer service to our clients via email, phone and in person
    • Managing a book of existing commercial lines business
    • Writing referral business, cross-selling, and adding coverage as required
    • Maintaining customer records using a computer-based insurance software system
    • Issuing necessary documentation for the brokerage’s clients, including, but not limited to: Certificates of Insurance, Insurance Binders, Letters, Submissions, Proposals and other documentation as required.
    • Checking the documentation for accuracy, providing coverage recommendations, and reviewing policy wordings.
    • Negotiating renewals with insurance companies and presentations to clients.
    • Promoting client retention through regular personal contact, claims counseling and superior service

    Qualifications
    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

    • A minimum of five years experience in commercial lines insurance
    • Preference is given to candidates with Level III General Insurance Brokers’ License, CIP or CAIB designation
    • Proven commitment to providing superior customer service satisfaction
    • Excellent communications skills and attention to detail
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
    • A working knowledge of The Agency Manager (TAM) broker management system would be an asset
