    Commercial Lines Account Manager – Halifax

    The Opportunity

    Archway Insurance is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager in their Halifax location. Reporting to the Commercial Lines Supervisor, the Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for maintaining, upselling and cross-selling an existing book of business, and providing support to the Commercial team:

    • Creating relationships with existing clients and new clients to the brokerage.
    • Client file management, including adequate documentation into our broker management system.
    • Rounding out accounts and writing other lines of business.
    • Following up on commercial referrals within the brokerage.
    • Claims counselling, claims reporting and follow-up.
    • Collection of premiums on the assigned book as per company guidelines.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

    • Commercial Insurance experience is required, ideally minimum 3-5 years.
    • Brokers License in NS will be required.
    • Insurance-related designations and/or professional designations are a highly valued asset.
    • Post-secondary education is an asset.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.

    Commercial Client Representative, Archway Insurance – Halifax

    The Opportunity

    Archway Insurance is seeking a Commercial Lines Client Representative. Reporting to the VP Corporate, the Client Representative works closely with  Account Executives in the provision of professional and practical insurance advice to an assigned group of clients. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

    • Maintain a technical and service-oriented relationship with clients, and attending client meetings, as required.
    • Reviewing and maintaining expiration lists, working closely with Account Executives throughout the Renewal process, including following up with clients and underwriters, receiving and reviewing quotes, and preparing a proposal for the client.
    • Diligently and carefully reviewing insurance policies and related documentation for accuracy and preparing the same for clients, underwriters and other professionals. Including, but not limited to, client presentations, proposals, market submissions, binders, policies, schedules, certificates, client contracts, finance contracts, and endorsements.
    • Working with the processing team on renewal letters, billing/invoicing, and other processing requirements.
    • Reporting incoming claims, monitoring status of claims, redirecting complex claims to Account Executive.
    • Working closely with Account Executives on new business opportunities. Including the collection of information from a prospective client, communicating with insurers, sending the submission to market, monitoring status of quotes, preparing a proposal for Account Executive, and possibly attending the meeting with Account Executive to present proposal.

    Commerical Lines Account Executive – Hall & Fairweather

    Archway – Hall & Fairweather Insurance is an established and growing insurance brokerage is adding an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our Saint John office.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Office Manager, the Commercial Lines Account Executive is responsible to develop new clients, service an established book of business and to be part of an exciting team. This role will work closely with our Office Manager, Commerical Team and commercial clients. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills are critical to this role, with respect to the numerous long-time and multi-line clients of the brokerage.

    Specific duties include:

    • Writing new commercial lines business with targets.
    • Following up on commercial referrals from within the insurance brokerage.
    • Provide expert and pro-active client service to an established book of business.
    • Review renewals, ensuring clients are properly protected.
    • Provide clients opportunities to broaden coverage.
    • Market and place new and existing commercial policies as needed.
    • Handle claims reporting, including following up with clients and adjusters.
    • Identify and act on cross-sell opportunities based on client requirements.
    • Maintain professional relationships with insurer underwriters.

    Qualifications

    • CRM, CAIB and CIP designations an asset.
    • Minimum 2 years Commercial Insurance experience.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Great technical and negotiating skills with strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
    • Able to work confidently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Personal Lines experience is an asset.
